DICKOW PUMP COMPANY has produced pumps for over 100 years. Their pumps are working steadily and dependably in all corners of the globe. As the technical world leader in magnetic drive pumps, Dickow holds many patents, is ISO 9001 certified, and is a supplier-partner of major chemical companies. A. SEAL-LESS MAG-DRIVE PUMPS 1. Process Pump ANSI to API 685 series PRM General Magnetic coupled DICKOW-pumps of the series PRM according to API 685 are heavy duty sealless pumps. The containment shell forms a closed system to separate the pumped liquid from the atmosphere by confined gaskets. The equipment (including auxiliaries) is designed and constructed for a minimum service life of 20 years (excluding normal wear parts) and an uninterrupted operation of at least 3 years. Applications Magnetic coupled PRM-pumps improve plant and personnel safety and reduce maintenance costs, because 90% of these costs are caused by lea king seals. The PRM-pumps will handle nearly all kinds of liquids in the chemical and petrochemical industry, in refineries and industrial heating plants. Especially liquids which are toxic, flammable, bad smelling or which react on contact with the atmosphere, that means if no leakage is acceptable. For all these services the containment shell replaces the double acting mechanical seal with its external flushing system and the related control equipment. The performance range of the PRM-pumps is subdivided such that the best efficiency is guaranteed for all service conditions. The capacity goes up to 900 m3/h (4000 USgpm), the differential head up to 150 mLC (500 ft). 2. Sealless Magnetic Driven Centrifugal Pumps Type KML/KMB/KMV General The DICKOW pump series KM are sealless centrifugal pumps. The static containment shell forms a closed system with hermetically sealed liquid end. Model AMB pumps match ANSI casing dimensions. Applications Magnetic driven KM-pumps are designed to improve plant and personnel safety. Especially when handling toxic, explosive or other dangerous liquids which react on contact with the atmosphere. The KM-pumps operate maintenance-free and their containment shells replace double acting mechanical seals, along with external fluid reservoirs and the necessary control equipment. Maximum capacity appr. 70 m3/h (300 US-gpm), differential head 65 mLC (213 ft). Temperature range -30°C to 200°C (390°F), working pressure 16 bar (232 psi). 3. Sealless Magnetic Driven Centrifugal Pumps type NM General Magnetic coupled DICKOW-Pumps of series NMB/NML are of sealless design. The containment shell forms a closed system with hermetically sealed liquid end. Applications Magnetic driven NM-pumps are designed to improve plant and personnel safety, especially when handling toxic, explosive or other danger ous liquids which react on contact with the atmos phere. For all these services the containment shell replaces double acting mechanical seals, along with external fluid reservoirs and the necessary control equipment. NM-pumps therefore offer exceptional benefits to the chemical, petrochemical and allied industries and fulfill all environment protection regulations. Maximum operating temperature 240°C (465°F) for the standard NMB/NML-type. The NMW-design with no internal circulation and dead-ended magnet end allows temperatures up to 400°C (750°F). The maximum allowable working pressure is 25 bar (364 psi). 4. Sealless Magnetic Coupled Centrifugal Pumps Type NMR General Magnetic coupled DICKOW-Pumps of series NMR are of sealless design. The containment shell forms a closed system with hermetically sealed liquid end. The NMR are designed for the chemical process industry. A leak-free magnetic drive is used to improve plant and personnel safety in industrial heating plants. Applications Magnetic driven NMR-pumps are designed to improve plant and personal safety, especially when handling toxic, explosive or other dangerous liquids which react with the atmoshpere. For all these services the containment shell replaces double acting mechanical seals with external fluid reservoirs and the necessary control equipment. NMR-Pumps therefore offer exceptional benefits to the chemical, petrochemical and allied industries and fulfill all environment protection rules. 5. Hot Oil Circulation Pumps series NMW/ NMWR/ PRMW General Magnetic coupled DICKOW-pumps of the series NMW/PRMW are of sealless design. The containment shell forms a closed system with hermetically sealed liquid end. Applications The magnetic driven NMW/PRMW-pumps are designed for hot oil applications, to improve plant and personnel safety in industrial heating plants. Mechanical seals are eliminated. No utility cooling needed. In these cases, double mechanical seals are required in conventional pumps. 6. Side-channel Pumps Type SCM General The DICKOW-pump, type SCM, is a one or multistage, self-priming horizontal side-channel pump with magnet coupling. The side-channel pump with its high differential head has the advantage of operating more economically than normal centrifugal pumps applied for low capacity and high heads. Due to these facts, the side-channel pumps are appropriate to solve many pumping problems in the chemical and petrochemical process. The SCM-pump is a heavy duty unit for handling clean pumpage without solids. Sealless magnetic driven pumps are designed to improve plant's and personnel safety, especially when handling toxic, explosive or other dangerous liquids which react on contact with the atmosphere. For all such services, the static shroud replaces double acting mechanical seals, along with external fluid reservoirs or barrier fluid circulating systems. Due to the fact that 90% of pump failures and required service base on leaking mechanical seals, the sealless design will save maintenance and spare parts costs remarkably. Considerable are the total cost savings of ownership. 7. Sealless Magnetic Driven Vertical Centrifugal Pumps Type KML/KMB/KMV General The DICKOW pump series KM are sealless centrifugal pumps. The static containment shell forms a closed system with hermetically sealed liquid end. Model AMB pumps match ANSI casing dimensions. The KM-pumps operate maintenance-free and their containment shells replace double acting mechanical seals, along with external fluid reservoirs and the necessary control equipment. Maximum capacity appr. 70 m3/h (300 US-gpm), differential head 65 mLC (213 ft). Temperature range -30°C to 200°C (390°F), working pressure 16 bar (232 psi). 8. Vertical Self-priming Side Channel Pumps Type SMV Field of application The side-channel pumps are self-priming and operate more economically (better efficiency) than normal centrifugal pumps, when handling low flows and high heads. Due to these facts, the side-channel pumps are appropriate to solve many pumping problems in industrial processes. They can be used for almost all liquids which are free of any abrasive solids and of suitable viscosity. The vertical side-channel pumps are suitable especially for tank farms with underground storage tanks with a diameter of max. 2,5 m (8.2 ft). The construction of the pumps enables an installation directly on the dome cover. That means, suction lift is only slightly above the tank diameter and the priming pipe can be kept short. For handling toxic, explosive and other dangerous liquids in chemical and petrochemical industries, a sealless pump design with permanent magnetic coupling - without shaft duct to the atmosphere - is also available. Since the static containment shell forms a closed system with hermetically sealed liquid end, an operation with zero leakage is granted. These pumps are maintenance free because no shaft sealing is provided. 9. NMT Submersible Long Shaft Centrifugal Pumps for the Chemical Industry General The DICKOW® submersible pump, type NCT, for the chemical industry is a vertical pump with separate discharge pipe. The maximum capacity goes up to 700 m³/h. Higher capacities are available on request. The pump type NCT has been developed for chemical, petrochemical and related industries. Multistage Centrifugal Pumps Type HZSM/HZSMA General Magnetic coupled DICKOW-Pumps of series HZSM / HZSMA are of sealless design. The containment shell forms a closed system with hermetically sealed liquid end. The properties of the integrated side channel stage allows the handling of entrained gas and operation under suction lift conditions. Applications Magnetic driven HZSM / HZSMA-pumps are designed to improve plant and personnel safety, especially when handling toxic, explosive or other dangerous liquids which react on contact with the atmosphere. For all these services the containment shell replaces double acting mechanical seals, along with external fluid reservoirs and the necessary control equipment. HZSM / HZSMA-pumps therefore offer exceptional benefits to the chemical, petrochemical and allied industries and fulfill all environment protection rules. Due to the fact that 90% of pump failures are caused by leaking shaft seals, the sealless design increases the availability and reduces maintenance costs. The HZSM-type is used in tank farms, for offloading rail cars and trucks, filling of storage tanks and other applications where priming of empty suction pipes is required. Considering low NPSH-values, gas handling capability and sealless design, the HZSMA-type offers special benefits to liquified gas applications. Typical application is filling of LPG-trucks and rail cars in refineries. 11. HZMR Multistage Centrifugal Pumps DICKOW®-pumps of series HZMR are sealless multistage horizontal centrifugal pumps, driven by a synchronous permanent magnetic coupling. The containment shell is sealed by a confined gasket and separates the pumped liquid from the atmosphere. There are no leakage endangered dynamical shaft sealing available. Due to the fact that 90% of pump failures are caused by leaking shaft seals, the sealless design increases the availability and reduces maintenance costs. B. SHAFT SEALED PUMPS 1.
